What does love mean to you?
We’ve been trained to believe that the definition of “love” is solely to be in love with someone else.
The thing is, how we relate to the concept of love is often tied to our own self-worth — and it all starts with love for yourself. Only then, can you give and receive love in a healthy way.
Mindvalley Founder, Vishen Lakhiani, experienced this firsthand during his young adulthood, and had to overcome a number of brules (“bulls*** rules”) when it came to his love relationships, including:
- Brule #1: Marry someone from the same culture
- Brule #2: Love should only be between a man and a woman
These are just two of the obvious, but equally insidious, beliefs that control our definition of love relationships — and which must be questioned in order to find a truly fulfilling form of love.
